Terms of use

What Khulab is
Khulab is a CAPS-aligned practice and mastery-tracking platform for South African schools, currently in a pilot programme. Accounts are created for pilot schools and families; learners sign in with accounts their school or Khulab set up.
Fair use
Use your own account, keep your password to yourself, and use the platform for learning. Don't attempt to access other learners' or other schools' data — the database blocks it, and trying is a breach of these terms.
Question content on Khulab is owned by Khulab and licensed to you for learning use. Don't scrape, resell or republish it.
The AI tutor
The tutor is a study aid, not an oracle. It is designed to guide rather than hand over answers, and its explanations — like any tutor's — should be checked against your class teaching. Khulab mastery numbers describe practice on Khulab; they are not school marks and never replace a teacher's assessment.
Availability
This is a pilot: we aim for the platform to be available and correct, and we fix problems fast, but we don't yet promise formal uptime guarantees. Practice data is stored safely regardless of interruptions.
Your data
How we collect, protect and delete learner data is described in plain language on the Privacy & learner data page — it is part of these terms.
An honest note on where we are
These are plain-language pilot terms. Formal, attorney-reviewed terms of service are in progress and will replace this page when complete. Until then: we act in good faith, we expect the same, and anything unclear gets resolved by talking to us at hello@khulab.co.za.
